Transferring chemicals

Chemicals can be transferred between vessels by:

Transferring chemicals directly. You can transfer the contents of one vessel to another.

• Click and drag your source vessel over the destination vessel.
• The pour-cursor appear if the contents of the source vessel can be transferred, and if the destination vessel can accept them.
• Release the mouse button to transfer the entire contents of the source vessel into the destination vessel.

Key points:

• Certain vessels, such as the pipette, will not accept chemicals transferred in this way.
• You cannot transfer anything to a stock chemical vessel.
• If the destination vessel is full, it will not accept any further chemicals.

Pouring. You can pour the contents of any open piece of glassware into another.

• Move the source vessel above the destination vessel.
• Rotate the upper vessel so that its contents fall into the lower vessel.
